Plaza de Paloquemao
Checking out the largest market in Bogotá after Abastos is always a sensorial experience between the smell of fresh pan de bono, over 20 different kinds of fruit, and herbs to clease our spirits! It's easy to get lost here but that is part of the fun :)

The flea market in Usaquen always has some fun, cultural, and different things to buy to bring a little bit of Colombia back to our homes. We made sure to have a nice brunch before shopping :)

Walking downtown on graffitti tour
There are various tours you can take while here in Bogotá, one of the best is the Capital Graffiti tour where you learn about the history of graffiti art in Bogotá and what different techniques are used by various artists in the city

Coffee Farm
Our day trip to Hacienda Coloma in Fusagasugá was special as we learned how coffee is produced from the seed to the final cup. We picked our own beans from the coffee tree and also planted 4 trees as a symbolic activity of what we are planting within ourselves on this heritage tour back to Colombia!

Closing up the week
After the few days together or so, we share our experiences and reflections from the trip as we prepare to return back to the life and identity that we have been cultivating. It is often challenging returning to the country that we were raised in as we integrate both cultures and identities, but it can be done and is possible :)
